The park is located east of Heber City, about a 20-minute drive from both Park City and the slopes of Deer Valley Resort. The 4,200-acre park is home to Mount Timpanogos, one of the most photographed peaks in the American West.  Besides offering sweeping views of the valley below and of the surrounding mountains, this national forest offers numerous activities to keep you busy during your visit.  From hiking to horseback riding, and fishing to mountain biking, Ellison Park has something for everyone. Here’s everything you need to know about this hidden gem. Clicking Here

There are two entrances to Ellison Park. One is off of I-15, about 5 miles east of Heber City, and the other is off of US-89, about 20 miles east of Heber City. Both entrances take you to the same park; it’s just a matter of where you stop first. Ellison Park is located in the Wasatch Front’s Wasatch Mountains, Utah’s largest mountain range. It’s also home to one of the park’s most famous features: Mount Timpanogos, which rises above the park’s 1,700-foot elevation.  The best time to visit Ellison Park is during the spring, before summer hits and the roads become too busy. Summer is also the busiest season for the park, with weekends and the first half of the month being the busiest.

There are a few options for lodging in Ellison Park. The Forest Service has a campground, which is open from April through November (weather permitting). There is a $15 fee to camp in the park. You can also stay in one of the three Forest Service cabins, which are also open all year and have on-site RV hookups.   If you’d like to stay off the grid, there are a few private cabins and cabins in the park’s interior. These options aren’t maintained by the Forest Service, so they may not be the best options for those who are primarily visiting to enjoy the park’s natural beauty. go to this web-site
