When visiting Double Arch, be sure to take the time to hike down to the base of the arch. Located at The Windows Rd, Moab, UT 84532. You will be rewarded with stunning views of the landscape as you descend the wide, flat trail. Although the trail isn’t fully guarded, it is easy to walk even with small children. There are also kiosks along the trail that describe the geology of the surrounding area. Double Arch is a must-see for anyone visiting Moab.

The trail to the arch is largely flat, with the exception of a few steep spots. The sego lily, Utah’s state flower, can be seen growing along the trail. Double Arch is one of the most unique formations in Arches National Park. It consists of two distinct arches with a hollowed center. This type of arch is known as a pothole, and was formed by water erosion from above, without wind or side erosion. If you’ve ever seen the movie “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,” you’ll recognize the arch. While the movie was not filmed at the site, you may recognize it from the movies.

If you’re visiting Double Arch with children, make sure to plan your visit around the earliest light. The parking lot can fill up quickly, so be sure to arrive early. You’ll want to avoid the rush of visitors on a Sunday afternoon. However, if you’re visiting at a different time, you’ll have less competition for your spot. Whether you’re looking for an inspiring view or are an experienced photographer, the Windows Section is an excellent place to visit.

While in the area, be sure to check out the Parade of Elephants. This large rock formation is easy to visualize with your imagination. And don’t forget to take a photo of it. The arch itself is a beautiful sight to see. But you should also be prepared to walk a bit to get there. Getting to the windows section of the park is relatively easy, but the Window Loop is a popular hike for tourists. It packs a lot into a short distance and offers the chance to see two of the largest windows in the Windows section of the park, Turret Arch and Double Arch. Starting at the trailhead, you’ll walk a wide gravel trail toward the North Window. As you walk along the trail, you’ll pass by the colorfully-named rock formations.
