Trails extend 16.6 miles through the park, with the easiest loop being the Intrepid Trail. The hardest loop is the Twisted Tree Trail. If you are an experienced hiker, you can try a trail to the Overlook. Or, if you prefer a more challenging route, you can try the Maze area.

During the Old West, cowboys used this area to gather wild horses. This natural corral was the perfect place for the horses to rest. They would bring in the best horses and leave the others behind. Unfortunately, the cowboys never came back for the others. The horses died in the corral without water or a way to escape. Eventually, they would be drowned by the river.
